Rumors Are True! Roland Martin Gets Suspended by CNN!

Uh-oh, Roland Martin is in trouble with CNN due to some tweets he said about David Beckham's H&M underwear ad.. why? Because his offensive tweet (see below).  GLAAD didn't like it so they voiced their opinion for CNN to fire Martin.

CNN didn't do that BUT he did get suspended.

In his tweet, he said:

• "If a dude at your Super Bowl party is hyped about David Beckham's H&M underwear ad, smack the ish out of him! #superbowl"

• "Who the hell was that New England Patriot they just showed in a head to toe pink suit? Oh, he needs a visit from #teamwhipdatass"

So what did CNN have to say about it?

In a statement, CNN said:

"[Martin's] tweets were regrettable and offensive. Language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated."

"We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland Martin will not be appearing on our air for the time being."

Martin did give an apology:

"Based on several tweets I made on my Twitter feed on Super Bowl Sunday yesterday, I have been accused by members of the LGBT community of being supportive of violence against gays and lesbians and bullying," he wrote.

"That is furthest from the truth, and I sincerely regret any offense my words caused."

GLAAD responded, "CNN today took a strong stand against anti-LGBT violence and language that demeans any community."

"Yesterday, Martin also spoke out against anti-LGBT violence."

"We at GLAAD look forward to hearing from CNN and Roland Martin to discuss how we can work together as allies and achieve our common goal of reducing anti-LGBT violence as well as the language that contributes to it."

Susan Cox Powell Update: Funeral Arrangements Made for her Boys

According to CNN, funeral services for sons of Josh Powell are scheduled for early Saturday afternoon in Puyallup, Washington, where authorities say Powell set his house on fire, killing all three of them.

Services for 7-year-old Charlie and 5-year-old Braden will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center and will be open to the public, according to Anne Bremner, an attorney for the Cox family.

Susan Cox Powell : Husband Kills Himself and Kids In House Explosion

News Update: Funeral Arrangements Made for the Boys

Sad news to report. Missing Woman Susan Cox Powell, from West Valley City, Utah was last seen on December 6th, 2009.

Since then, her disapperance has garnered national press attention and a police investigation is ongoing as of September 2011.

Now there are new developments, her husband Joshua Powell and the couple's two children died on February 5, 2012 when their home exploded, presumably from a gas leak initiated by Joshua himself.

Shortly before he set fire to his Puyallup, Washington, house and killed himself and his two sons, Josh Powell -- a suspect in the 2009 disappearance of his wife -- apparently sent a three-word e-mail to his attorney.

It said simply: "I'm sorry. Goodbye."
