God left New Zealand alone today since the end of the world prediction was going to happen today at 6PM...and it is well past 6pm.
The place for the earthquake was suppose to happen, according to Harold Camping was Christmas Island, New Zealand. According to Camping, the island was going to be struck by violent earthquakes at 6pm local time.
Nothing happened. Well, sort of. There was a 4.9 magnitude earthquake that was detected approx. 1305 miles away from New Zealand. But that was it.
We wonder what Camping will say about this. Maybe he was listening to R.E.M.'s "It's the End of the World As We Know It...." song too many times.
Fyi, this is not the first time Camping said the end of the world was going to happen. He said it back in Sep. of 1994 and gave excuses to why what he said didn't happen.

Thanks to Harold Camping, who is the President of Family Radio and has a website called: wecanknown.com...he is the one who who started all of this craziness.
From Religion Dispatches:
This is the day that true believers will be taken up to heaven, while everybody else — Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, atheists, agnostics and anyone who supports gay marriage or accepts evolution — will be stuck here on Earth for another six months while war and pestilence rains down on us. Then, on Oct. 21, the world will end.
Ummmm..... oookay...so basically.....
